Welcome to Hava Nagila

Our Story

"Every man shall sit under his vine and fig tree and none shall make him afraid." — Micah 4:4

Some people find the land. We were called back to it.

Andrea grew up the way most people only dream about — on a farm in East Texas, and later off grid in the mountains of Oklahoma, where the land wasn't a hobby but a way of life. Food came from the earth, animals were partners not decoration, and hard work was simply the rhythm of the day. That foundation never left her, even when life took her away from it.

A U.S. Navy veteran with a surgical corpsman background, Andrea carried her love of the land and her Christian faith through the seasons of life. But somewhere along the way, the Bible began opening up in new ways. She found herself asking deeper questions — questions that led her not away from her faith, but further into it. That journey brought her to Messianic Judaism, a faith rooted in the Hebrew scriptures, honoring Torah, and believing fully in Yeshua as Messiah. Suddenly the land, the animals, the herbs, the food — all of it made a deeper and more ancient sense.

When she returned to farming — this time on a small lot in Pecos, Texas — she brought that faith with her. And then came Zephyr.

Zephyr is Jewish by birth and Messianic by belief — a Marine Corps veteran and the kind of man who understands both duty and devotion. When their lives joined, so did their callings. Two veterans. Two hearts rooted in Torah. One farm taking shape.

Andrea's daughter Hanna completes the picture — capable, hardworking, and an irreplaceable partner in the daily rhythms of farm life.

Together they are building Hava Nagila Farmstead — and the name says everything. Hava Nagila means "Let Us Rejoice." Not someday when everything is perfect. Not when the fences are all built and the herd is exactly right and the harvest is full. Now. In the mud and the milking and the early mornings and the answered prayers. Let us rejoice now.

The farm is an expression of that joy — Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats producing rich sweet milk, chickens laying faithfully, herbs growing with purpose, gardens fed by the same land that feeds the family, and handcrafted Judaica made with willing hands and pure materials. Everything connected. Everything intentional. Everything pointing back to the One who provided it all.

We are not trying to be perfect farmers. We are trying to be faithful ones — eating the fruit of our hands, tending what we have been given, and trusting the Lord in all we do.

"We are His people and the sheep of His pasture." — Psalm 100:3
